How it works
The Home Improvement Group provides you with a dedicated and licensed painter for the day, along with all the basic tools required to get the job done. We are covered by WSIB, have insurance of $5 million in liability and provide a one-year warranty from the day of service.
What can the painter do?
You name it, we do it, so feel free to combine interior and exterior painting work all in the same day such as walls, ceilings, baseboards, fences and decks. With every Painter of the Day offer, small patchwork is included.
Tips and facts
- 1 gallon = double coat on 350-400 square feet of wall space or a standard 10x10 ft room (using existing colour)
- Primer is required if you are switching from a dark to light colour, and if the original colour is very dark, two coats of primer may be needed (switching from dark colours like red, blue, pink or purple to light colours like yellows, greys and whites can take 3-4 coats of primer/paint to create the right professional look
- Inquire with your paint supplier about adding a primer tint to your new colour
- Please confirm with your paint supplier ahead of time that you have the correct paints, tints and quantities to ensure that you maximize your painter’s efficiency
Terms
- Prior to your painter’s arrival, have all materials and paint ready, move furniture to the middle of the room, and remove all drapery and wall fixtures
- Any time needs over and above 7.5 hours of painting, up to a maximum of 10 hours in a day, will be charged at a prorated hourly rate of $66.53 / hr (without paint) and $73.20 / hr (with paint)
- Specialty equipment can be supplied as per site requirements at an additional cost (for example, power washers, ladders above 9ft, hoists and scaffolding)
- If you require materials to be ordered and delivered on your behalf, we charge a 30% handling fee
- Need professional trades work completed? Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC are performed by licensed professionals and billed at $116 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours, materials are extra
- Parking must be provided or additional charges may apply
